John E. Nale, Esq.

John is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and University of New Hampshire School of Law. He is a practicing Maine elder law attorney with offices in Waterville. He now serves on the Maine Council on Aging, is a member of the Maine Gerontoligical Society, and serves as Co-Chair of the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Maine State Bar Association Elder Law Section. He has served as past President (2007-2013) of the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging (M4A), and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Lakewood Rehabilitation Center. He is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and has been recognized by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court with the Katahdin Counsel Award for providing pro bono services to Maine's elderly. In 2010, John was selected Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce's Outstanding Professional. Mark J. Nale, Esq.

Mark J. Nale is a partner at Nale Law Offices. Mark has been practicing law in Maine for 29 years. He graduated from the University of Maine at Orono in 1980 and from University of New Hampshire School of Law in 1984. His area of practice is limited to elder law, including probate administration. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association's Elder Law Section and Trusts and Estates Section and also is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. Mark speaks frequently to professional and community groups regarding long term care planning, estate planning, advance directives and MaineCare/Medicaid planning. Mark serves as Board President of the Alzheimer's Association - Maine Chapter and also serves on the Heritage Board of the Alfond Center. Elizabeth W.H. Levesque, MaineCare Specialist

Beth is the firm's government benefits and MaineCare eligibility legal assistant. She assists clients through all aspects of a MaineCare long term care application and manages complicated plans for eligibility. Before joining the firm, Beth worked five years with the Maine Department of Health and Human Services as a MaineCare Long Term Care eligibility specialist.

Angela N. Jenney, Paralegal

After graduating cum laude from Thomas College with a Paralegal degree, Angela joined the firm in 2003. She works alongside the attorneys in nearly every aspect of the practice to provide our clients with support throughout the estate planning process. She also assists clients with the administration of decedent's estates through the probate process and with the appointment and management of Guardianships and Conservatorships. Brittany L. Cates, Paralegal

After graduating cum laude from University of Maine at Augusta with a degree in Liberal Studies and a post-graduate certification in Paralegal Studies, Brittany joined the firm in February of 2017. She is our intermediary between clients, attorneys, and our community and is usually the first person you will talk with or see. Brittany handles intake coordination, office support, and also manages the firm's community outreach.
