John E. Nale, Esq.

john_small.jpgJohn is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and Franklin Pierce Law Center, Concord, New Hampshire. He has been practicing law in Maine for 28 years and has dedicated a substantial part of his practice to Elder Law. He frequently speaks to elders, lawyers and financial consultants on long-term care planning, estate planning and asset preservation.

John is a member of the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association, the Trusts and Estates Section of the Maine State Bar Association, Waterville Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Organizing Committee for the Governor's Blaine House Conference on Aging and he is a Certified Long Term Care Planner. John is also a member of the Advisory Committee to the Office of Elder Services and a Board Member of the Maine Association of Area Agencies on Aging (M4A). John formerly served as Chair of the Elder Law Section, Maine State Bar Association and currently serves on the Legislative Affairs Committee of the Elder Law Section.

Mark J. Nale, Esq.

mark_small.jpg Mark has been practicing law in Central Maine for over 20 years. A 1980 graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, Mark earned his law degree in 1984 from Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, New Hampshire. His area of practice is limited to elder law, including probate administration.

Mark is a member of the Maine State Bar Association, the Elder Law Section of the Maine State Bar Association, the Trusts and Estate Section of the Maine State Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Kennebec County Bar Association. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors of Hospice Volunteers - Waterville Area, and is a member of the Heritage Board of the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville.

Angela N. Jenney

angela_small.jpgAngela is a Waterville native who joined the firm after graduating cum laude from Thomas College with a paralegal degree. She is proficient in the areas of elder law, estate administration and government benefits. She has excellent legal research and computer technology skills. Angela participates in the drafting and preparation of documents and works directly with the clients and state agencies. Angela is a member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALS), and received her Accredited Legal Secretary (ALS) certification in December, 2003. As a paralegal, Angela works closely with both attorneys.

deborah_small.jpg Deb is new to the firm and brings with her a vast array of experience and education, including an associate degree in legal technology from the University of Maine where she graduated magna cum laude in August of 2004. Deb has a keen eye for details, facts and figures which she developed as the senior payroll clerk at Hathaway Shirt Company for 14 years. Deb works closely with both attorneys with the preparation of all legal documents, including Advance Directives, MaineCare applications and various other office correspondence. She is the first face you see at our office and her warm, genuine smile and manner let you know that you've made the right decision in seeking legal advice from this office.

Jean C. Rank

jean_small.jpg Jean is a graduate of Wheaton College and received a Master of Science in Education from the University of Maine. She was a public school teacher for three years before joining our firm. She is the firm's legal research assistant with a focus on Medicare and Medicaid law. She is married to Joseph Rank. Jean enjoys outdoor activities, spending time with friends and family and caring for her young son, Samuel.
